Fall 2013 favourites

Hi everyone, I hope your all doing great.
Thought it be fun to do a fall favourites entry!
I make myself laugh tho, I love fall with a passion but I've been hooked to listening
to Christmas music. I know it's early but I'm just so excited
since this Christmas will be my daughters first x-mas & first birthday.
All in one week!!!
so I've been a crazy planning and organizing just for her :)

Anywho... So these products are just a few things I've addicted to these past months.
Been trying to go with a more natural look and I'm proud to say I stayed with it.

The products :D
Annabelle Cosmetics CC instant perfecting base
I already raved about this product on my last entry, but I just cant't get enough!
Works great for my skin, minimises my pores & helps with my redness.
An overall awesome drug-store product :)

Make-up Forever's HD foundation
Color # 155

This foundation is my Cold weather foundation.
I swear my skin is so bizarre!!
In the warmer months I'm oily
& in the colder months I get more combination/flaky skin.
So I have to constantly change my skin care/make-up routines.
I've never been crazy about thick, cakey foundations & this just does the trick!
It's an light-medium coverage, but is buildable if you do want that full coverage look.
It's an photogenic foundation, which is great since the holidays are right around the corner
and lots of parties/family gatherings are done & you can always look your best.
It is a bit pricey, I believe $49 CAN at Sephora (they up'd the price).
I did find a dupe for it, and it is Revlon's PhotoReady make-up foundation.
No idea about the price, but you can check your local drugstore for it :)

 Urban Decay's Naked Basics Palette

In my opinion, I think everyone should own this.
I use this little palette everyday, no matter what eye look I do.
Five of the colors are matte & the first one (venus) has a little shimmer to it,
which is great for highlighting around the eyes.
These colors are great for everyday looks, even if you want a quick smokey eye it does the job.
The price is $32 CAN, which is pretty cheap.
If you do the math... your paying about $5.33 for each color.
So yeah...go buy it :D you won't regret it!!

Urban Decay's 24/7 Concealer Pencil
Color DOD

Another Urban Decay product that I've been obsessed with.
It's an easy to-use concealer that dries to a powder finish.
I love the fact that once I apply and blend & it becomes a powder and I can skip the step of applying a setting powder. Great coverage!
The price is $22 CAN at Sephora.

Essence's Long-wearing eyeliner pen
If you haven't tried any Essence products, your really missing out. I'm so in love with this brand its not even funny. The eye-liner pen is great! its a true black, stays on for a good amount of time. I do have watery eyes so no matter what eye-liner I use it tends to smudge anyway. Another plus is the price! I believe I purchased it for $3 at my local drug-store. For that price you can go wrong with trying it out. Overall a nice quick and easy eye-liner pen.

Julep nail polish
Color "Nic"
One thing I love about fall is the dark colors!
I'm honestly not a spring/summer person just because I love darkness.
I'm not Goth or whatever but I'm always wearing black and love dark eye-shadows , big false lashes and deep plum/purple lipsticks. When I received this color in my October Julep Maven box, I was hooked. It's a nice deep wine color. I only needed two coats of the color (Its what im wearing on my nails right now). It stays on pretty good. A few of my nails are chipped but I wash my hands alot.
The price is $14 on the Julep website which is a bit pricey for a nail polish.
My dupe for it is Maybelline's color show nail lacquer and its called "dressed to kill".

Philosophy's miricle worker
Eye Cream
Last but not least my new favorite eye cream. I did not purchase this, its actually a deluxe sample from Sephora. It's an anti-ageing retinoid eye repair cream. Helps with wrinkles, fine lines, under-eye circles & puffiness. I've been only using this for about 2 weeks and I think its awesome! I did notice a bit of change on my under-eye lines. They have gotten alot smoother and my under-eye concealers don't crease up as much. I don't really see a change on my dark circles, but I do like the silicone texture of the cream. It doesn't feel too creamy but still feels hydrating. Once I finish the sample I'm really not sure if I want to buy the actual product since it costs $65 CAN.

So yeah, these are my favourite products at the moment. Fall is time to keep the face nice and simple and add a kick of color to your lips. I don't really have a favourite lipstick at the moment, since I'm changing colors everyday. I know people get intimidated with dark lipsticks but its always fun to try out new looks...that's the whole fun part of make-up.
And as always I hope you all have a great day :)
